Official Word from our Elder!!

Heard from Elder Stevens today!  He sounds really good, I will piece together several emails so you all can see how he is doing.

I had asked him about the lake:

Remington:
yup its 12k feet in elevation i dont get to see the lake from the pueblo(ILave) im serving in but p days i get to go to Puno and hang out with the missionaries here that are in my zone. everything is going well right now. its pretty cold in the area im serving its one of the coldest parts of the mission. its tranquilo in Ilave because its just me and my Companion there serving the whole city its kinda rural in the sense its small and they have a huge market on domingo where they sell everything from cabinets blankets clothes vegtable fruits and meat just everywhere in the city its literally packed. so that was interesting. We have a pensionista that cooks and does laundry for us Elder Hatfield my trainer calls her mamita. had a baptism that him and his old companion had set up so that was fun. otherwise going pretty good oh and its cold always so im always wearing a sweater or jacket. oh and i traveled to Cusco by plane then hanged out there for 2 days then the 3rd day left on a bus to Puno which was 8 hours. then another hour out to the pueblo that is Ilave. pretty good got some pics of the flight and the baptism but nothing else so far.

we are celebrating thanksgiving thursday and also our pensionista's birthday is the same day so it will be a good day.  there is internet cafes everywhere in Ilave and Puno , but it depends where i am if in Puno Puno if in Ilave Ilave.

the food is pretty good havent had cuy and there was this one dish that was super sweet and turned my stomach but other than that the food is good.
