December 19th

so it has been kinda of a weird week with the fiesta de navidad in Juliaca. We had a district meeting in ilave martes then we went on splits since there is only 4 of us. i went with the district leader Elder Cubillas and we tracted for 2 hours after language study at 2 then went to teach some people from 3 to 5. at 5 we had to hop on the transport to Puno to practice our skit and song again before the fiesta. then after that we went to a miembros family for a noche de hogar and to carol a little got some panaton and hot chocalate. slept then woke up early to shave and everything before Elder Cocoango elder hatfield and me went and met up with Elder hogan and Elder Wells to leave for Juliaca. took asbout an hour to get there then we finished the powerpoint for our skit we planned. it was fun and got to see elderes from the ccm that were with me. traveled back that same day all the way to ilave. got back late so we couldnt work. thursday we just went to the lessions we had and tried to get some with who we didnt have them for. viernes Elder hasyfield got sick. Sabado was a baptism the whole day since only us cleaned the church and then we had to wait for a maintnance worker to come so we could get hot water since we baptized a joven and it was at night. Also the lights would go out and then on so right before the first talk the lights went out till after she was baptized, so when she got there she was super nervous no matter what happend but once she got into the water she relaxed a bit and then after she didnt want to get out. Domingo was crazy as always visited an invest. right before church and he came amazingly. normal service then we did study and made plans for consejo later. thats what we did all domingo. then today we came to yunguyo earlier which is a 1 hour or 1 hour 30 min drive its in out district. we met up with a couple elders from Puno and went and saw some stuff earlier and then had lunch with the districto presidente of Juli and the presidente of the rama in yunguyo with Elder Cubillas Elder blodsoe Elder Hogan and Elder Wells.

December 5th

this week was kinda busy with practicing our christmas song in Puno miércoles viernes then a setenta showing up at the church building sabado so we had a couple meetings with him and the district of Juli in Juli which is mine and my comp´s area its just 40 min away and we dont know it well so we dont know where to start there. but in Ilave they are preparing for the anniversary of the city coming up on the 12th. they practice marches and dances its wacky looking. we found out there is 2 investigators in Juli that have been coming on sundays to church so we will start going to teach them in Juli at about 1 pm every sunday. we are organizing our less active members into streets to start getting them back to church and gtetting attendance up again otherwise everything is good. we have an investigador who wants his whole family to ber baptized but cant teach them till after the anniversity so we are just going to keep visiting with him and growing his faith. so far and so little time to cram everyone we need to teach into these weeks. paz feude hasta proxima semana

in puno . there is a miembro here that makes bomb sricpture cases im getting 3 one for my quad and a triple and bible for my spanish set. i have cheap cases from lima templo for the spanish one but these scripture cases are all leather and i could put just about anything i wanted on them. i used the money aunt shelly put in the envelope she gave me right before walking to the airplane. everything is going good we are getting a visit from thge seventy over the cusco and huancayo missions this week we have already met him since he came out to the district i serve in to talk with the miembros hes pretty nice and i think finishing up our skit we are doiing for the navidad fiesta in juliaca today.

November 28th In Ilave

im doing good this past week flew by it seems. im not out of breath if i walk but any running is hard. it is getting better. the area has a lot of minos activos in it. there used to be 3 wards here. when contacting most of the time its fine. except if we get a drunk person. the biggest thing is there is a lot of people who dont livwe in the main city but the campo which is like the fields. i am starting to understand a lot more lately so that is good. nothing to crazy cool in the city it self. i dont have a favorite food here but there is a candy bar called Kilombo which is only 50 cenimentos that me and my companion love. it rain these past two days in Ilave and it gets pretty cold then. thankgiving for me was kinda hectic we had to run and get food fopr our pension to cook in the morning and she always stuffs us. it was also her 80th birthday so we got to celebrate it with her. then we went tracting. we have a  baptism coming up on the 17 off december for a mom of one of the members who are waiting for their mission call to come in and also a 15 year old girl whos parents are active in the church again. we are making a navidad video so we had to film some parts in areas of Ilave on domingo as instructed by our district leader just as we finished it and went to a inv house it started to rain but she wasnt home so we went back and got our rain jackets and went to the rama meeting to discuss what are teaching plan is for everyone this coming week and how everything is going. lots of 12 to 18 year old investigadoras. wee didnt have power domingo mañana so we had to take ice cold showers before church that was fun. we are planning a little christmas party on that domingo christmas is and also we are having a multi zone party with us from bellavista zone, the Puno central zone, juliaca zone and i believe the sicuani zone. should be pretty fun.

Church in town they run to every morning.
